Post or bid machine shop and manufacturing jobs for free on Contract Auction

Finding Manufacturing Work is Usually Very Difficult – In the manufacturing industry, it is well understood that finding new manufacturing work is in and of itself a full time job. If a manufacturer decides to take advantage of internet technology and bid on jobs posted online (which are few and far between) the cost just to bid can be astronomical. They can be anywhere from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars per year.

Finding Manufacturers For Your Product Is Hard Too – You would think that it would be easier to find a manufacturer for your product. Even with internet technology, finding a manufacturer for your product is still extremely difficult. There are only a small hand full of sites that allow buyers and manufacturers to post and bid on jobs, and trying to differentiate between good and bad manufacturers is tough.

Sorting through online directories and lists is also very time consuming and can end up being fruitless. There are very few ways online to find a manufacturer that do not require lots of time and/or money.

What Is Different About Contract Auction? – I found a relatively new site, ContractAuction.com, that allows for both the buyers and manufacturing companies to post and bid on jobs for free. What’s even better, is that the site also has a feedback system for buyers to rate manufacturers based on their experiences and vice-versa. They deal only with manufacturers in the U.S. right now.

The concept of course seems too good to be true for manufacturers and buyers, but I hope the idea will be able to stay free. I wonder if once the site is flooded with users whether or not ContractAuction.com still be able to maintain the free platform?
